My parents and I went to Keystone last week from Monday to Thursday. Although most people believe the Colorado Rockies is the place to go for winter skiing, I think the summer is the best time to go. It offers everything from relaxation, golfing, off-road driving, biking (both road and mountain), and hiking, among other things.
Our first day, while sitting on the balcony, we saw a bear in the clearing of the mountain across the way. It was a little far for my digital camera, but we were able to get a good look at it using binoculars. That was the first time I ever saw a wild bear, pretty cool. I finally took my Jeep off road after owning it for almost 5 years. All I can say is it was about time! Nothing crazy, just some fire roads, but it was pretty cool. The funniest part of the week had to be my mom walking into the screen door at my condo – alcohol was involved.
Below are some pictures from the week, which can also be found in the photo album. Enjoy.
