This past weekend Mary invited me to join in on the Emmy festivities here in LA. The best part about the whole weeekend, outside of the helicopter ride, staying at the Beverly Wilshire, and the after party sponsored by TV Guide at The Kress restaurant in Hollywood, was the fact that it was all free!  It was good to see Mary too as we only get to catch up about once a year.

Pictures from the helicopter ride around LA can be found in the photos section.  Although I was a bit nervous about being in a helicopter, it turned out to be a smooth ride and something I’d like to do again.  I’ve asked Mary to send pictures from the after party, so that will take another week to get on the site.  Until then, celebrity photos from the party can be found on the TV Guide web site.

Just after arriving at the Beverly Wilshire on Saturday, I spotted Jorge Garcia walking through the pool area to the gym.  For those of you that don’t know, that is Hurley from Lost.  Outside of that, I didn’t recognize too many people until I was told by someone.  Mary had to tell me that Linsday Lohan was sitting right behind the area we were standing at The Kress.

A funny little note from Monday morning.  Mary had gotten up to head back to NY and I was still sleaping.  She was talking and I swear I was so tired I couldn’t formulate a word, nonetheless a full sentence.  I don’t think I’ve ever been that tired before.
