Let’s start counting the Mets magic number from day 1 this year. Below is an explanation of the letters / numbers in the formula:
The magic number is based on the Mets clinching first place and does not take into consideration the wild card. Also, I’m not sure what the result of the formula will be if the Mets don’t stand in first place. Does that turn into an elimination number? I’ll figure that out when it comes. Or, maybe Joker can figure it out for us.
