Reverse the Curse

For reasons of which I have rules against blogging about, I’m pretty bummed today, but there’s still news to report on Poulios.com! Joker went about taking the necessary steps to reverse the curse of the nachos against the New York Mets this past week. Below is a recount of the messages I received on Tuesday.

Joker @ 5:26 PM MST — Ok, I’m in the Bonefish Grille and about to eat a ceremonial nacho (a dorito). I’ll keep you posted.

Blog Comment – The Bonefish Grille is a new bar located at the same location as the now defunct Jackson’s.

Joker @ 5:39 PM MST — Ok, the nacho ceremony is done. Next I will tape a picture of Endy Chavez inconspicuously to the bottom of the table

Joker @ 5:44 PM MST– Ok, the picture of Endy is in place and very inconspicuous. Next is the picture of you dry mooning the camera, to be taped (hopefully hidden out of site) in the mens room.

Joker @ 5:55 PM MST — Ok, we’re all done. There’s a picture of you taped in the men’s room, out of sight, on the top of a dividing wall between two stalls. What made me chuckle was that while I was doing the deed, the song that came over the speakers was “these boots are made for walking” by Nancy Sinatra. The whole thing got very surreal and I felt like I was in a Tarantino movie. I will always remember this little episode when I hear that song going forward. The curse is over! I’m so happy. We did good K!

Here’s hoping the efforts of Joker will forever reverse the curse of the nachos!

Oh, and here’s hoping no one recognizes my bum in the mens room at the Bonefish Grill!

I am confident that the Curse of the Nachos has been reversed.

As I was planting the pic of K in the men’s room, I had a little bit of an out of body experience where it was like I was observing myself. Kinda freaky…very surreal.

    Mets in ’09!!!

Speaking of K, looks like we got ourselves a little K-Rod to close games out for the Mets. I’m giving all the credit for this signing to Joker. Thing will turn around in 2009, I can feel it.

    Endy Chavez….TRADED!

MORE proof that the curse is lifted!!

    AAAAAHHHHHhhhhhhhhh!

That was such a bitter sweet trade. Obviously, the Mets picked up a player that will allow the game to be cut down to 7 innings. But I liked Endy. He had a cannon for an arm, one that I looked forward to opposing players trying to test. And the catch he made back in 2006 was phenominal. The only reason it’s not considered one of the best ever is because the Mets ended up losing the game.
